Magnum Powder Coating, Inc.

  Environmental Awareness:

Magnum Powder Coating, Incorporated is strictly a powder coating company. Within the last two years Magnum has participated in Common Sense manufacturing practices. The goal is to analyze each process within the company, each department at a time, eliminating waste. Magnum continues to communicate closely with employees, customers, and suppliers helping to reduce processing costs and improve quality and turn around time.

Magnum's process involves the recycling of water, heat, powder and whenever possible, paper, and tooling. Magnum requests recycled material when purchasing office and shop supplies. The internet is used for transmitting most invoices and all banking is done online.

Chemicals used in the washer are low temperature, eliminating excess heat/energy usage. The washer is cleaned every three to four months by evaporating the water and having a licensed environmental waste company haul away excess sludge. Maintenance on equipment is listed in the STANDARD OF OPERATIONS manual within Magnum's facility.

Powder Coating does not emit VOC's and does not contain solvents, making it environmentally friendly. Excess over spray is pre-heated in Magnum's facility to eliminate dust while being hauled away, and is approved to be disposed of in land fills.

If there are further questions or concerns regarding the LEED or Green friendly applications used within Magnum Powder Coating's facility, please do not hesitate to contact our company.
